CHIRVAN CARPET
Model 00602 – Chirvan 19th Century Collection, crafted from 100% Wool and measuring 3.60 × 1.25 m, is a Hand Woven rug defined by its vertical column of large diamond medallions. Each medallion is built from crisp geometric forms in deep reds, blues, yellows, whites, and greens, creating a strong rhythmic structure that guides the eye along the length of the piece. Smaller angular motifs and stylized tribal elements fill the surrounding field, adding texture and visual complexity. The rug is framed by multiple borders, each presenting repeating patterns such as zigzags, rosettes, and interlocking shapes arranged in a coordinated palette. These layered bands reinforce the symmetry of the central design while showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of the Chirvan weaving tradition. With its vivid colors, sharp geometry, and elongated proportions, this piece stands as a refined example of regional artistry.
