CHIRVAN MARASALLI CARPET
Model 00695 – Chirvan MarasaIli 19th Century Collection, crafted from 100% Wool and measuring 1.60 × 1.20 m, is a Hand Woven rug distinguished by its richly patterned field and the architectural presence of its mihrab‑inspired upper panel. The central area is composed of repeating geometric forms diamonds, hexagonal motifs, and intricate symbolic elements arranged in warm tones of red, orange, brown, cream, and blue. Each motif is articulated with precision, creating a rhythmic surface that feels both ornate and balanced. Multiple borders frame the composition, each carrying its own vocabulary of interlocking shapes, stylized floral accents, and traditional tribal patterns. The layered structure of these borders enhances the rug’s visual depth and reinforces the disciplined symmetry characteristic of the MarasaIli tradition.
