CHIRVAN SHANAZAR CARPET
Model 00686 – Chirvan Shanazar 19th Century Collection, crafted from 100% Wool and measuring 3.35 × 1.40 m, is a Hand Woven rug distinguished by its elongated proportions and the disciplined symmetry of its central design. Five vertically aligned diamond medallions anchor the field, each articulated with layered geometric motifs in red, blue, green, white, and yellow. Their precise arrangement creates a strong visual cadence that defines the composition. Surrounding the medallions, smaller stylized floral and abstract elements introduce movement while maintaining the clarity and balance characteristic of the Shanazar tradition. The field is framed by multiple borders featuring angular, zigzag, and geometric patterns in gold, red, blue, and white, forming a richly textured perimeter that enhances the rug’s architectural presence. With its saturated palette, refined geometry, and exceptional craftsmanship, this piece reflects the elevated artistry of traditional Chirvan weaving.
